New Global Markets (NGM) is an international organisation built to close the gap between funders and capable organisations. We make organisations visible and fundable, while giving funders access to a diverse network of trusted local partners.

Why we exist

Capability alone does not create opportunity.

Organisations have the expertise, relationships and evidence of impact to deliver meaningful change. Many still sit outside the networks where funding opportunities circulate. Funders, meanwhile, struggle to find capable partners beyond those they already know.

This is the opportunity gap: the distance between an organisation’s ability to deliver and its access to relevant funding and partnership opportunities.

The gap is widest for locally led organisations in Africa and the wider Global South. Valuable work goes unseen (link to report). Funding stays concentrated in familiar networks.

Many organisations also depend on too few income sources. They need a clear strategy to diversify their income and pursue the right opportunities.

NGM exists to strengthen capability and widen access to opportunity. Our advisory work helps organisations diversify their income and build financial resilience. Our programmes and VICO, our matchmaking platform for funders and organisations, increase visibility and help funders discover potential partners based on fit.
